Cover letter & about me

Living in London and working freelance for the past ten plus years, I've learned a lot, but maintain a passion for learning, and strive to continually grow and improve as an artist. I'm always keen to implement new emerging technologies in my work process. Much of my free time is spent on my own personal creative projects and education to further my goals. I have a strong artistic eye, and from a very young age have been passionate about understanding the world around me and creating my own worlds. From anatomy to mechanical design, art history and fashion. I believe a strong knowledge in all these things is essential to creativity.
Having been a part of nearly every role in a creative pipeline, from storyboarding and concept art, to asset creation, rigging and rendering, all the way to post production and editing. I have a good knowledge of a team's development process, and can fill multiple roles if required. This knowledge also allows me to anticipate the requirements of team members and better organise myself within projects.
Being freelance for the majority of my career has allowed me to develop skills for dealing with clients, understanding their needs and interpreting their ideas and feedback. Working to a deadline and within provided budgets. And often working remotely with others, or entirely on my own with little input. I believe this has made me very flexible and able to use my initiative and experience to successfully complete all projects I have worked on without issue.
I would however enjoy working as part of a team. I am easy going, and get on well with everyone. Trustworthy and reliable. I am very happy to get on with the job at hand, and I always put one hundred percent into everything I do.
Recently I have been trying to push current digital imaging results further. Working a lot with various lesser known plug-ins such as "Meta-pipe", to improve metahuman results. And new techniques such as physical lenses in Unreal, while also creating my own blend targets for more natural looking muscle deformations etc. 3D scanning with hand-held scanners or large photogrammetry rigs is also something I have been working with a lot lately. As well as the processing, clean-up and of course implementation of scans is a very interesting process to me that I enjoy, and the details and nuances captured from real things is indispensable.
I hope you enjoy my portfolio. I'm eager to speak with you about what I can offer Your Company. Thank you for your time and consideration.
